Submissions
Idol on a Pedestal Journal welcomes satire, parody, comedic essays, strange observations, fake seriousness, real lessons, science-with-a-smirk, cultural commentary, and thoughtful absurdity.
This journal is built for writers who can laugh while still paying attention. A submission may be funny, ridiculous, sharp, weird, educational, exaggerated, or unexpectedly sincere — but it should have a point underneath the comedy.
We welcome pieces about science, technology, culture, history, human behavior, media, public life, modern idols, internet madness, sacred cows, bad assumptions, and the strange things people place on pedestals.
Submissions may include:
Satirical essays
Comedic science explanations
Parody articles
Humorous cultural commentary
Fake-serious opinion pieces
Short absurd observations
Educational posts with jokes
Playful takedowns of modern idol worship
The goal is not cruelty. The goal is comedy, relief, curiosity, and the occasional real lesson hiding under the nonsense.
Please avoid hateful content, direct harassment, plagiarism, or anything written only to injure another person. Sharp satire is welcome. Pointless cruelty is not.
By submitting, you understand that this journal is satirical in nature and that accepted pieces may be edited for clarity, formatting, tone, grammar, or overall fit.
Submission Guidelines
Send a title, the full written piece, and a brief note about the intended topic or joke. Keep the tone funny, readable, and original. If the post teaches something real, even better.

The pedestal is open. Just do not worship it.
